League Broadcast

Covers champion select, in-game, and post-game. It includes a visual editor, cinematics, automatic camera controls, and tournament statistics. Game state comes from the local machine. Free and paid plans are available.

league-prod-toolkit

An MIT-licensed, open-source toolkit for all three broadcast phases. It outputs browser sources and requires an observer tool and Riot API key. Recent repository updates address dependencies and security. Its README notes limitations caused by Vanguard and the removal of the LiveEvents API.

OSL

An open-source tool built on Riot's public APIs. It documents champion select and post-game support. The maintainer closed issue #35 after Riot API changes ended in-game support. Its README credits our earlier open-source LeagueBroadcast project.

LHM.gg

A commercial HUD manager for CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, and other games. It integrates with OBS and vMix and offers free and paid plans. League data comes from OCR.

Which should you pick?

  • League-only productions. Choose League Broadcast for local game data, League-specific features, and Discord or email support.

  • Multi-game productions. Choose LHM.gg for productions that cover CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2, and other games.

  • Open-source requirement. Choose league-prod-toolkit if you need an MIT-licensed stack and can set up its observer tool and Riot API key.

  • Migrating from LeagueBroadcast. Vanguard ended support for its memory-reading approach. League Broadcast is the successor; install the current app to migrate.

From LeagueBroadcast to League Broadcast

LeagueBroadcast was our earlier MIT-licensed overlay tool for League of Legends streams. It provided champion select and in-game browser-source overlays using game data read from memory. OSL's README credits the project.

Riot Vanguard blocked that memory-reading method. We rebuilt the product around a Vanguard-compatible data source and added capabilities beyond the earlier release. The old repository is deprecated and links to League Broadcast.
